Tommasini has been building top-quality titanium frames for over 25 years.  In the beginning, Irio Tommasini set up a special laboratory separate from the rest of the workshop.  This dedicated titanium shop is completely aseptic, darkened, and with argon gas to purge all contaminants from the welding-zone.  The result of this fanatical attention to care and detail is frames that are truly built to last a life-time.From a performance perspective titanium has a special elasticity to the tubing and this gives the bicycle frame compliance and the ability to tune out bumps in the road.  The dilemma for titanium bike designers is how to have the comfort and compliance but have enough side-to-side rigidity in the proper place to have a fast and high performance bike.  This is where the Mach Ti shines; it is the perfect balance of performance and comfort.  The first step is seamless 3/2.5 titanium tubes with a special proprietary down tube built for Tommasini.  This reduces torsional flex and maintains the vertical integrity of the frame when it is pushed hard.  The second step is the use of special titanium-plate for the drop outs.  The connection of the frame to the rear wheel is vital for performance and a highly resistant drop out give the bike superb acceleration and maximum pedaling efficiency.  Step three is the new 1-1/8 x 1-1/2 oversize head tube mated to the oversize carbon fork.  Now the front end of the bike is solid and creates a super stable ride especially when descending at high speeds and aggressive cornering.  No bike descends or handles like a Tommasini and the Mach Ti is the pinnacle of performance titanium bikes.  Tommasini only makes one model of titanium frame because with Mach Ti they have hit perfection.  There is no need to offer a less performance or less quality frame just to hit a price point.  The full-custom Mach Ti is the ultimate titanium frame, and though expensive, it will provide years of absolute cycling pleasure.
